Project Harar Ethiopia secures life-changing surgery for children with a severe facial disfigurement living in the poorest areas of Ethiopia.

These conditions range from
• cleft lip and palates
• noma a devastating facial infection
• animal attack
• tumours
• accidental injuries

By working closely with skilled Ethiopian medics and European experts, we restore normal facial function to sick, disabled and injured children so that they can eat, speak and express themselves.

Sadly, many people with facial disfigurements experience discrimination and social exclusion. Project Harar Ethiopia gives children the opportunity to lead independent, dignified lives within their community.

Set up in April 2001, we now treat over 135 patients every year. With your support, in 2008 we will rebuild the faces and change the lives of over 250 young patients.
